Pricing questions

What counts as a minute?
One billable minute = one minute of live call time, rounded up to the nearest second. Includes both inbound and outbound legs. Synthetic test calls also consume minutes — they deduct from your included minutes first, then bill at your plan rate.
Are there any hidden fees for STT, TTS or LLM?
No. CallGeni.us bundles AI voice, telephony, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, transcription, and AI call summaries into a single per-minute rate. No separate AI API bills.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes — upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades apply at the start of the next billing period. You'll never be locked into a plan.
What happens when I run out of included minutes?
Your agent keeps answering — it never drops calls. Extra minutes are charged at your plan's per-minute rate and appear on your next invoice.
Do unused included minutes roll over?
No. Each plan's included minutes (60 / 300 / 1,500) reset on your monthly billing date. Anything you do not use that month is forfeited. Anything beyond your included allowance falls back to your prepaid wallet at your plan's per-minute rate, so you never lose calls when you exceed the included pool.
Does annual billing apply to the per-minute rate too?
No — the 20% annual discount applies to the monthly base fee only. The per-minute overage rate is the same on monthly and annual plans.
What is Forever Retention and when do I need it?
Forever Retention disables the time-based auto-delete on call recordings. It is a flat monthly add-on (Starter A$45, Pro A$60, Enterprise A$195) on top of your normal storage allowance and overage rates. Useful if you have audit, legal-discovery, training-data, or regulatory-retention requirements that exceed your plan's default retention window.
Can I try before I pay?
Absolutely. The Explorer plan is free with no credit card required. You'll receive 10 trial minutes on sign-up to run live calls or synthetic tests. Upgrade when you're ready.

Outbound Calling & Compliance

All plans include outbound campaigns. You are fully responsible for complying with telemarketing and privacy laws in your country (including TCPA in the US, ACMA in Australia, CASL in Canada, and equivalent rules elsewhere).

By using outbound features you agree to our Acceptable Use Policy and indemnify CallGeni.us against claims arising from your campaigns. Explorer usage is subject to fair use limits to prevent abuse.

Common questions

Do callers know they're speaking to an AI?
By default the agent reads a recording-and-AI disclosure at the start of every call. Australian privacy law (APP 5) requires notification of collection, and most jurisdictions expect callers to know they are speaking with an AI — CallGeni.us bakes this disclosure in by default. The agents are highly natural, so even with the disclosure many callers find them indistinguishable from a human receptionist. You can configure each agent to use a verbatim notice, a natural-voice greeting with the disclosure built in, or no disclosure for jurisdictions where one-party consent applies.
Is the call recorded?
Every call is recorded by default. The agent reads the recording disclosure at the start of the call (see above). Recording retention varies by plan: Explorer 30 days, Starter 60, Pro 90, Enterprise 1 year — or unlimited with the Forever Retention add-on.
What happens to my recordings if I downgrade or cancel?
Recordings are kept according to your current plan's retention window. If you downgrade from Pro (90-day) to Starter (60-day), recordings older than 60 days auto-delete on the next nightly cleanup. Forever Retention recordings stay until you manually delete them, regardless of plan changes. On cancellation we honour the active retention window for 30 days so you can export anything you need.
Do I need to port my existing number?
No porting required. You simply connect your existing business phone number through the dashboard. The process takes just a few minutes.
Can I have multiple agents for different numbers?
Yes — all plans include unlimited AI agents. You can have different agents for different phone numbers, locations, or departments, each with its own personality and knowledge base.
What integrations are supported?

Is my data stored securely, and where?
CallGeni.us complies with the Australian Privacy Act and Privacy Principles, and meets GDPR requirements for UK and EU customers. A full privacy notice is published at callgeni.us/privacy-notice. Calls are processed in your selected region by our telephony partner and our AI partner; recordings, transcripts, agent configuration, and analytics are stored in our database hosted in Sydney, Australia. We never share your data with third-party advertisers or AI training datasets. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time from the Account settings.
